There
are many options for covering tables. These options range
from vinyl to "pre-dyed" fabric to dye sublimated fabric
to a fabric coated vinyl. All these materials are "fire resistant".
Each material choice has its own options for placing graphics. |

Vinyl
skirts and drapes are typically the least costly and can
be screen printed, solvent or ecosolvent printed, have "cut
vinyl graphics" applied, or have a printed vinyl or fabric
runner placed on top of it. We offer several vinyl
material options in many colors. One major disadvantage
of vinyl for table skirts is that, unless we use Velcro for
junction hems, there is no way to roll or fold the finished
product for shipping without creasing the vinyl. Creases
definitely take away from the professional look of the display. |

Pre-dyed
fabrics come in 35 different colors .
These can be screen printed with a custom image up to 24" x 48".
Rather than printing the pre-dyed fabric, it can be cost
effective to print a vinyl or fabric runner and place this
on top of the pre-dyed fabric. This option can provide
the elegance of fabric with the efficiency of printed or
cut vinyl graphics. If the fabric gets soiled or wrinkled,
it can be washed and ironed. |

Dye
sublimated skirts and drapes always start with a white polyester
fabric. We generally recommend either our "firesafe3" or "poly
satin" fabric for drapes and skirts. Both these
fabrics look elegant and hang nicely off the table. We sublimate
(dye) the entire image into the fabric. For this process,
you provide us a digital file with pantone matches if necessary.
There are several key advantages to this process. First,
you can put 300 DPI photos into the fabric. There are no
limitations as to how much area of the skirt / drape you
wish to dye. Other advantages of this process are that
if it gets soiled it can be washed, if it gets wrinkled
it can be ironed. From a cost, elegance, utility standpoint,
we consider "dye sublimated" skirts and drapes as the best
alternative. |

As
for fabric coated vinyl, which we call "Imperial
Nylon", it comes in several colors . The outside
surface looks fabric though it is subject to the same wrinkling
issue as vinyl. Imperial Nylon can be screen printed or
have "cut
vinyl graphics" applied. It is important when using Imperial
Nylon material to use "high performance" "cut vinyl graphics" with
heat and a roller for successful adhesion. There is also
a material called "fabric graphics" which can be cut in a
plotter and is applied like "cut vinyl graphics". It has
a fabric look and adheres to "Imperial Nylon", "Sunbrella", "Oxford
Nylon" and regular vinyl. Fabric Graphics is not intended
for exterior use. It typically requires more pressure to
cut and apply. Using a heat gun (or hair dryer) and a roller
for application is important for successful adhesion. Below
are examples of the various options described above. |
